Amritha Aiyer

Amritha Aiyer or better known as ‘Bigil’ Thendral is a Tamil actress and a model born on 13 May 1994 in Bangalore, Karnataka.

Though, the actress played few roles in Tamil movies, her character as Thendral, who hails the captainship of the team Bigil football in the movie Bigil (2019) brought her to fame overnight.

The diva was working for an IT company in Bangalore, while on the other side was concentrating seriously in modeling which is her passion.

Other than Tamil movies, Amritha has also featured in few Telugu and Kannada movies.

Aiyer completed her under graduation at St. Joseph College in Bangalore taking the degree from commerce stream.

Theri Entry in 2016

Before showing herself as a lead actress, Amritha Aiyer featured in supporting role in the movie Theri (2016) playing the role of a friendly character to the actress Samantha.

If you were not able to remember, she comes in for the scene walking on a platform alongside Samantha and in the song (unnale en jeevan) Samantha getting married.

It is said to be that the actress had a good rapport with the director Atlee as she was working for the movie Theri, which has resulted to cast her in the Bigil.

Career in Movie (2018)

Amritha Aiyer made her debut as a lead actress in Kollywood movies through Padaiveeran (2018), playing the role Malar, while Vijay Yesudas opposite and the movie was directed by Dhana Sekaran.

The movie was a village-based story and Aiyer fitted well in the character Malar, which was recognized by the film critics.

The role Malar in the movie made the actress to get nominated for SIIMA Best Debutant Actress award.

The young 25-year-old Diva was later seen in the movie Kaali (2018) for playing the role Thenmozhi, alongside Vijay Antony, a Music director turned actor.

The actress is currently working in a Kannada language project entitled Gramayana.

Bigil Thendral

Amrith Aiyer brought millions and millions of Tamil movie fans in just a matter of one movie which is Bigil.

She was put up in the character of Thendral, who is the Captain of the Football team Bigil, alongside Induja, Reba Monica John, Varsha Bollamma and others.

She was noted for the scene in the Hospital, as she shows a fiery face on seeing her coach Bigil and in the climax scene where she scores the safe goal for the team Tamil Nadu by a backward rolling kick.

Recently, the actress attracted the eyeballs of the social media bound fans for her birthday, as the lead actress of the movie Nayanthara gifted her a Versace watch.
