Anjali (age 31) is a South Indian actress, who predominantly features in Tamil and Telugu movies. Anjali, though made her debut in Telugu first, she gained wide recognition through Tamil movies. Anjali was born on 16 June 1986 in Razole, Andhra Pradesh. In Tamil, she made her debut in the movie Kattradhu Thamizh (2007), opposite Jeeva.
She won both Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut –South and Vijay Award for Best Debut Actress for her first movie in Tamil.

One of the best and first assignment in Tamil movies for Actress Anjali is Kattradhu Thamizh (2007), directed by Ram. The whole movie is based on a Tamil graduate, who opts to pursue Tamil language as his subject and ends up in unemployment, further becoming psychopathic.
The movie was initially titled to be Tamil M.A., and changed to Kattradhu Thamizh.
The movie is considered to be an epic one and Anjali appeared in the role Anandhi.
She received critical acclaim for the performance in Kattradhu Thamizh, portraying the character of a poor girl loving his childhood friend (Jeeva) and leaves to her uncle’s house in Rajasthan.
Her performance was mentioned as “a delight to watch and spellbinds the viewer with her beautiful fresh look and her performance” by the Behindwoods. Whereas, Rediff stated that, “a breath of fresh air” and “the perfect foil to Jeeva’s plethora of emotions”.

The next big hit for Anjali in Kollywood is Angadi Theru (2010) opposite Mahesh, directed by Vasanthabalan. The movie is based on a young poor girl fighting her life back, while doing her sales girl job in one of the big shops in Ranganathan Street, T. Nagar, Chennai.
The makeup and the portrayal of the character Kani gained critical acclaim and the audience of the movie cannot forget Anjali even after the movie is over.
Especially, Anjali performed at the best in scenes like, she is harassed by the shop manager for running a chit fund and when she loses her both the legs during the end of the film.
Most of the scenes in the movie were shot in the Ranganatha Street, T. Nagar, Chennai with the help of the hidden cameras. Anjali was in the same dress code for a famous textile store in the same street and performed the role.
The movie turned out to be the best subject for the reviewer and the role of Anjali gained several honours like Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Tamil.
