Catherine Tresa (Tamil Actress)
Catherine Tresa is an upcoming South Indian actress, whose role was noted in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada movies. She was born on 10th September 1989 (Age 27) and also a model representing major brands. Catherine is well known for her acting in the Tamil movie Madras and Godfather.

Catherine was born in Dubai for Frank Mario Alexander and Tresa Alexander, who are basically from Kerala, India. She also had a younger brother named Christopher, who is no more now.
Education and Co-Curricular Activities
She continued her school education in United Arab and relocated to Bengaluru for perusing her higher studies in the St Joseph’s College for two years.
Catherine Tresa is well versed in extracurricular activities like playing piano, singing, dancing, oration and ice skating, which she learnt during her higher studies.
Also, Catherine mentioned that, “good at anything I put my mind to”, denoting her self confidence and dedication.
Catherine Tresa is also indulged in social works such as she is a volunteer in Dubai for conservation of Emirates Environment. At her young age, she supported fashion design degree students for modelling to an extent.

The year 2014 was a bad sign for Catherine Tresa, since her beloved younger brother named Christoper hanged himself to death in his college hostel room for the reason said depression.
In 2016, an article was published by a popular daily news paper, commenting about the poor sense of Telugu language, while she was participating in a success press meet for the movie Sarrainadu.
As a reply, Catherine Tresa commented back as follows: “To The Deccan Chronicle, Hyderabad. The levels you stoop to in the name of journalism never cease to amaze me.
To write that I had no idea what my own lines in the film meant shows you really should not be writing at all.
Common sense would dictate that I need to understand my lines before I deliver them in the film.
But, obviously, common sense and all forms of logic are clearly lacking in your case.”
Also, she mentioned in an interview, that, “I don’t speak fluent Malayalam, it’s mostly English that we speak at home. I speak decent Hindi though, and now I’m taking lessons in Telugu”.
Catherine made her entry in Kannada movies with Duniya Vijay in the movie Shankar IPS and was appreciated for her performance for the movie Vishnu in the year 2011.
Catherine Tresa played a significant role in the movie Godfather in which she portrayed an older mentally challenged woman character.
The movie later took her to be nominated for the first time in Filmfare Awards South for Best Supporting Actress Category.
Catherine Tresa made her entry for the first time in the Tamil movie Madras, opposite karthi. The movie was a box office hit, directed by Pa. Ranjith. Catherine became popular for the song in the movie Madras in which she speaks a dialogue “Ne dhaan venum, Yenna??? Kalyanam Pannikiriya”

She continued her career with the next movie Kanithan opposite Atharva. In the same year, 2016, she starred opposite to Vishal in the movie Kathakali playing the role Meenu kutty, a lovely lover girl.
However, the movie was not successful in the box office for her.
In 2018, she acted in the movie Kalakalappu 2, which is a full comedy story directed by Sundar C. The Kalakalappu 1 movie was already entertained a wide range of people and was a huge box office hit movie.
