Career 2011

In 2011, Kajal joined with Prabhas for the movie Mr. Perfect, which is a romantic movie, directed by Dasaradh. Kajal Agarwal took the role of the Doctor and revealed her acting skills are realistic in the movie, that nominated her for the third Filmfare award for the Best Actress in Telugu.

The movie was a huge commercial box office hit and success. In the same year May, Kajal replaced Anushka Shetty for the movie Veera and joined Ravi Teja for the first time. The movie however was a moderate success for her.

July 2011 was a major tweak for Kajal. She came back to Bollywood industry after a long gap of seven years in joining with Ajay Devgn for the movie Singham.

The movie was a Tamil remake of same movie titled Singham, in which Surya features as a police officer.

Kajal was not much into the role as Kavya Bhosle, since the Domination of Police story kept her at a regular pace.

However, Kajal was nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut and Zee Cine Award for Best Female Debut

In 2012, the awaiting blockbuster movie in Telugu for Kajal Agarwal was Businessman Co-starring with handsome Mahesh Babu. The movie was directed by Puri Jagannadh and the movie is based on the gangster story. However, the role of Kajal’s was not huge in the movie.

Later, in the same year, the leading Tamil cinema director, K.V. Anand directed the movie Maattrraan, in which Kajal performed a leading role. The movie is based on a Science fiction story moving around twin brother attached together.

Kajal performed a keen job which gained her decent critics.

For Example: The Indian Express mentioned that: “Kajal does with utmost sincerity as the foreign language translator Anjali. It’s this trait and her graceful demeanour which makes Kajal a pleasant watch”.

Kajal Agarwal’s next project in the same year was A. R. Murugadoss‘s Thuppakki opposite Vijay. Thuppaki movie was a huge commercial box office hit in her carrier and gained some decent comments about her acting.

Kajal portrayed a college going girl involved in boxing activities and the comedy she makes around her father reached and enjoyed by a wide range of Tamil audience.

Thuppaki movie also collected over ₹100 crore, is noteworthy.

In the same year 2012, Kajal finally completed the year with good comments about her acting in the movie Sarocharu, joining Ravi Teja, however the movie was not successful in theatres.

Career 2013

In 2013, V. V. Vinayak’s directed the movie Naayak, and Kajal coupled with Ram Charan Teja and Amala Paul. The movie was a huge box office hit and Kajal Agarwal’s performance was appreciated by the judges.

Next project of the year 2013 is the Special 26 in Hindi, and Kajal was noted for her performance in the film.

2015-2017 and recent projects

Kajal featured a leading role in Telugu movie titled Temper (2015) in the direction of Puri Jagannadh. Opposite Jr. NTR, Kajal played a role of an animal lover and the movie was a big hit at the box office. A critic of the Times of India stated that: “Despite her limited role, the actress does well”.

There were two Tamil movies released in the same year, the Balaji Mohan’s local gangster story titled Maari joining Dhanush.

The movie is based on bird racing and critics mentioned that it is of a regular movie. Regarding the performance of Kajal’s in Maari Rediff marked that: “Kajal Aggarwal does have a significant role to play, but their onscreen chemistry just does not work”.

The movie Maari was not a hit but was an economic success.

The other release of the year 2015 with the male star Vishal is Paayum Puli, directed by Suseenthiran.

The movie received poor reviews about the screenplay.

 In 2017, kajal union with Ajith Kumar in the movie Vivegam and features as Yazhini Kumar, who is a musical teacher in a foreign country. She portrayed the role of a beautiful, trustful and supportive wife character.
