Lakshmi Menon (Tamil Actress)

Lakshmi Menon is one of the young Tamil actresses in the Kollywood industry born on 19^th May of 1996.

She acted in many Tamil movies and posed her prominent presence in the field of south Indian movies by her acting and singing skills. Lakshmi Menon made her debut in a Malayalam movie called Raghuvinte Swantham Raziya by the year 2011 as a supporting artist.

Though, she made her debut in Malayalam film, Lakshmi Menon becomes familiar after migrating into Kollywood industry acting as heroines.

She was called as “the fastest rising star in Tamil cinema” due to her sequential box office hits.

The real name of Lakshmi Menon (Age 21) is said to be Prakash Menon and later she changed her name accordingly for her acting and singing career.

Her father Ramakrishnan and mother Usha Menon are Malayali and be located in Thrippunithura, Kerala, India.

Lakshmi Menon’s mother is a classical dance teacher at Girls Hr.sec.School in Mallanginar, where Lakshmi Menon was also educated.

In 2011, Vinayan, a Malayalam film director and producer get to know the Bharatanatyam performance of Lakshmi Menon during a telecast and offered the supporting actress role in the movie Raghuvinte Swantham Raziya, which was Lakshmi Menon’s debut in Malayalam film industry.

By the time of her debut, she was doing her eighth grade in her school. After her 12^th grade, she got seated for the bachelor of Arts in English at Sacred Heart college Kochi.

Followed by her debut, Ali Akbar directed a movie called Ideal Couple and Lakshmi Menon acted in a leading role with the co-star Vineeth.

She then got the chance to act in Kumki, which is a box office in her career with Vikram Prabu.

The next benchmark Tamil movie for Lakshmi Menon is the Sundarapandian with Sasikumar directed by Prabhakaran.

Lakshmi Menon received Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actress for her performance in Kumki and Sundarapandian.

With the same co-star, M. Sasikumar, Lakshmi Menon re-joined in the movie Kutti puli in the same year. Then came the movie Pandiyanaadu, co-staring with Vishal, and become famous for the song ‘Fy Fy Fy kalachify’.

With the same hero, she did Naan Sigappu Manithan in 2014. The movie Upcoming next for Lakshmi Menon is, Maja Pye (Comedy movie) with the opposite star Vimal. In addition to this, Jigarthanda is the other commercial movie for her in the year 2014.

Movies 2015

In 2015, she joined with Gautham Karthik, who is an upcoming hero in Tamil for the movie Sippai. In the same year, Komban (Village based action story), directed by M. Muthaiah released and created a huge popularity for Lakshmi Menon for the character Palani Kombaiah Pandian.

Lakshmi Menon reached to a new height in the Tamil Cinema by acting with the leading Star Thala Ajith Kumar in the movie Vedhalam released in the last quarter of 2015.

She acted as a sister for Ajith Kumar in the movie and gained appraisal for her keen performance.

2016

In 2016, Tamil Cinema itself reached a new milestone in the history by releasing the movie Miruthan, which is the first Zombie movie in the Tamil language.

She joined Jeyam Ravi in the movie and the story received huge appreciation for the attempt of on a Zombie story, however ended in average success. She also had good recognition for the movie Rekka with Vijay sethupathi of the same year.

Currently, Lakshmi Menon is working with Prabudeva in a comedy drama movie called Yung Mung Sung directed by M. S. Arjun.
